Kristen is a 30-something mom of two and wife of her wife. She was born and raised in the Midwest, USA, and has always loved reading and story-telling. Among her fanfiction readers, she built a reputation for writing characters that “act like real people,” causing readers to throw their phones across the room (and immediately retrieve it to see what happens next), and the re-readability of her works to catch missed details.
After writing over a million words of fanfiction, Kristen decided to delve into the world of original works. Her favorite genres are faerie tale retellings and romantasies.

MY THORNS FOR YOUR ROSES, is an adult retelling of the Scottish faerie tale “Tam Lin.”
A husband is a necessary inconvenience to escape Lark’s complicated home life, but when a faerie roots a rose in her flesh, the whole village assumes it’s from a mysterious suitor. Lark must convince the petty bastard to remove the blossom, but the faerie forest is full of danger – and newfound desire.

The Local Author Book Fair at Morgenstern’s is part of the Bloomington Book Festival‘s bookstore crawl. Come meet some local authors!
Rose Romance Lit Con tickets have SOLD OUT. VIP ticket entry begins at 10:30 AM and General Admission begins at 11 AM. The event goes until 4 PM.
